2018 Tarot Review: Day Twenty-Six – Boxing Day Returns

Posted on: January 13, 2019

Challenge: Think about something you really hate about 2018. It has to be something that is within your control to change… What is it? Pull a card for the power you have to change this thing. Pull another card for what you need to do next to make sure that there is none of this in 2019.

Two Tarot cards: Six of Cups and Page of Pentacles from the Santa Muerte Tarot deck

Six of Cups and Page of Pentacles from the Santa Muerte Tarot deck

If anything, worrying about affairs of the nation, the politics, so on. I can’t control those, but I hate reacting to them. When I say I do not want to give a fuck, I mean it. And while I did a good effort tuning out sources, sharing less and responding to stories, I can and should do more. I got to work more on keeping my mental sanity in the “Hard Times.”

On my power to change this: Six of Cups. A bit more walking away. Work more on stepping back. Find other constructive things to do and engage in. Read more. Do more things you like. Seek to simplify things more, take pleasure in simpler things. Keep your balance and your counsel. Exercise and explore imagination more.

Some looking back is good but do not overdo it. Again, seek more calm, simple things.

On what I need to do to change it: Page of Pentacles. Think in practical terms. Cups suggest creativity. Page of Pentacles suggests taking steps and starting the work to bring the creativity to life.

As noted previously, you can find all the prompts here; Lisa Frideborg Eddy, the author, has put them in a PDF book that you can download for free. For this series, I am using the Santa Muerte Tarot deck.
