Celestial event: Sun enters first decan Capricorn (2 of Pentacles)

Challenge: Think about what you feel is worth celebrating today and contemplate how your effort in the past year took you to this point worthy of celebration. Pull one card for how to celebrate. The second card is for something you should be celebrating but haven’t yet consider worthy of celebration.

Two Tarot cards: The Emperor- IV and King of Swords from the Santa Muerte Tarot deck.

In simple terms, making it to the end of another year is worth celebrating. Also, lasting six years working at Berea is worth celebrating. This is the longest I’ve remained in a single workplace, and I hope for at least another six years, maybe more. Overall, we are doing well at home, so that is worth celebrating too. We worked hard, and good work needs to be celebrated. Also, I’ve enjoyed my Tarot and oracle journey, and I hope it continues.

On how to celebrate: The Emperor- IV. I laughed a bit when I saw this card. It tells me to sit back, relax, and take satisfaction in what has been built and accomplished. This is a good time for you, so embrace and celebrate it. We also have a good foundation going into the New Year. Things are stable and secure, and that is good.

On something else to celebrate: King of Swords. Before I go further, I notice these two cards together bring a healthy amount of male energy. The King of Swords is about the mind, intellect, thinking, and not accepting any nonsense or bullshit. He is also about acting with honor, integrity, and decency. These are not things I would feel a need to brag or such, but perhaps celebrate a bit in private. Celebrate doing your best to lead a decent life, watching out for those close to you, a day at a time. Again, theme of security here too. Seek to avoid excessive cold rationality.

Challenge: Contemplate how well aligned you were with your soul’s calling in the past year. Pull a card to reflect this. Pull another card for how to better align with your calling in 2019.

Two Tarot cards: The Sun- XIX and Six of Pentacles from the Santa Muerte Tarot deck.

On alignment with calling: The Sun- XIX. Again, I got a jumper card. This one seems spot on. Overall, I’d say I’ve aligned fairly well with my calling of working with students and serving where I can. I was fortunate to be able to do the work I like on most days.. Also got to try some new things like reading Tarot cards for others.

On how to better align with my calling in the New Year: Six of Pentacles. The outlook appears good. There will be opportunities to help others where we can with what we have. Things should be in balance and equilibrium as we go into the new year and rest of the year.
