The ACRL Top Ten Future Assumptions, more of the obvious?

Posted on: February 20, 2008

My boss recently sent us a link to the "Top Ten Assumptions for the Future of Academic Libraries." For her, part of the reason for sending it is that one of the candidates for our open Provost position referred to it. Unfortunately,  I was not there to hear the reference, but at least the guy did mention something about academic libraries, which is more than a lot of other higher ups would do. Personally, I think the list is pretty much a restatement of the obvious, but that's me. Library world is often known for rehashing the obvious. It gives members of national organizations who usually do it as part of their tenure game something to put on their CV's.
