Crawford on blogs and the library literature

Posted on: November 8, 2007

You can tell I am running a little behind when it comes to reading Cites and Insights. I am just getting to the August 2007 issue where Walt Crawford has an essay “On the Literature” arguing that “that gray literature—blogs, this ejournal, a few similar publications and some lists—represents the most compelling and worthwhile literature in the library field today.” Find the complete issue as PDF here, or go to the site and find the html via the table of contents. Anyhow, I wanted to make a note of it as a supplement/extra note to my recent post musing about the library literature. Walt provides a nice summary of some of the bloggers posting on the topic as well as his ever insightful writing.
